Frequently Asked Questions About Dog Boarding and Training

What should I bring for my dog during Board and Train?

Please bring your dog’s flat collar and leash, their favorite toy, pre-bagged food for the morning and night, any medications they need and high-value treats. We provide bowls, beds and additional boarding items.

How long does the Board and Train program take?

At Sit Means Sit Philadelphia, our experienced dog trainers fully customize your dog’s training sessions to ensure your pup makes the most of their boarding time. The length of stay depends on your training goals and your dog’s needs, which we’ll discuss during your free evaluation.

Can I visit my dog during the boarding and training period?

To maintain consistency in training and avoid disrupting your dog’s progress, we do not schedule visits during their stay with us. However, we’ll send you regular updates and photos of your dog’s progress to keep you informed while you’re away.

Will my dog be fully trained at the end of the program?

Your dog will learn many new skills during their stay, but their success depends on following through with the training at home. That’s why our Dog Board and Train programs include Private Dog Training Lessons to teach you how to maintain and build upon your dog’s new behaviors, along with access to our Group Classes for ongoing support.

What Montgomery, Bucks & Chester County Dog Owners Are Saying

Kind Dog Trainers Helped Improve Reactivity
“We boarded Lily while we were away on a week-long trip. She needed help with reactivity and walking on a loose leash. During the week she was there, they began to work with her and she has been doing great. Lily now needs me to catch up to her skills. I am excited to see how far my little girl can go. My one-on-one training was with Morgan and Dominic, and they were kind in their explanations to help me feel comfortable working with Lily.”

Saw Huge Progress With The Immersive Training
“Sit Mean Sit was a huge help for our Doberman puppy. We just finished our 5 days of immersive training and are moving to the Group Classes. We did not want to board our puppy and be away from him for an extended time, so Sit Mean Sit’s process was perfect for us. We are so happy how our newest family member is coming along.”
Nick K.
Fantastic, Tailored Dog Training
“We have had a great experience with our trainers. Ang, Morgan, Karleigh and Gianna were fantastic in providing individual guidance and a tailored experience. We’re looking forward to continuing our training with group and individual sessions!”
